Overview
The emirate of the Banu Khazrun ibn Falful, of the Maghrawa, in Sijilmasa. Khazrun marched on it in 366 AH, and it ended with the Almoravid conquests, around 476 AH, roughly. 1
Founding the emirate
Khazrun defeated the emir of the Banu Midrar, al-Mu'tazz bi-Allah, and killed him, and erased the state of the Banu Midrar and the Kharijites from Sijilmasa. He established the call for al-Mu'ayyad Hisham, the first call made for the Marwanids over Sijilmasa. 1
His son Wanudin
His son Wanudin ruled it after him in 390 AH, by a clear contract with the Slav Wadih, on a fixed sum and a number of horses and shields that they carried each year to Fez. He became autocratic over the affairs of Sijilmasa and Draa after the caliphal line had scattered. 1
The end
When the Almoravids took the lands of the Maghrib, the Banu Khazr were destroyed in Sijilmasa and Tripoli. 1
Not covered here
The date of the end is approximate, and the conversion to the Gregorian calendar is derived.
