Overview
The Eretnid state, the kings of Rum among the Mongols after the descendants of Hulagu. Ertena was an emir among the Mongol emirs, and was appointed governor over Rum at the end of the Ilkhanid state. 1
Independence and expansion
When the power of the Ilkhanids died out, he and his son became independent with their seat in Caesarea, Sivas and their districts, from as far as Malatya and Samosata, and what they took in from the lands of Armenia. Their independence began around 736 AH (1335 CE). 1
The end
Their rule lasted until the Turkmen states and the Ottomans prevailed over them, and their kingdom was lost. 1
