Overview

Tayma is an oasis in northern al-Hijaz, one of the places where the Jewish tribes that migrated from Palestine settled, in the account of al-Rahiq al-Makhtum. 2

From the introduction to al-Rahiq al-Makhtum

Jewish tribes settled in Yathrib, Khaybar and Tayma after the Romans occupied Palestine in the year 70 CE, and established villages, forts and castles in them. 2 3 The Banu Asad settled east of Tayma, and Dhubyan near it, as far as Hawran. 4 See Judaism in the Arabian Peninsula.
