Overview
Jurjuma is a town on Mount al-Lakkam, near the alum mine, between Bayas and Buqa, in the lands of Antioch. It was the home of the Jarajima, whom the Muslims made a peace with on terms of guarding the frontier and helping them. Maslama ibn Abd al-Malik took it on the terms of removal. Al-Walid ibn Abd al-Malik ruined it in 88 AH, and settled its people on Mount al-Mawar, Sanh al-Lulawn and the depths of Tizin, and dispersed them through Syria. 1
