Overview

Muslim ibn Abi Bakra, son of Abu Bakra al-Thaqafi, owner of the third bathhouse in Basra in Balalabadh, and mentioned in the account of the permission for bathhouses in Basra. 1

The bathhouse

He took about a thousand dirhams a day from the bathhouse, and a great deal of food. His father told him that he did not see him fit for a post of office, and did not see him falling short of his brothers in benefit, so he left the bathhouse to his brother Abd al-Rahman. Abd al-Rahman disclosed his income and gave people permission to build bathhouses. 1
