Overview

Murra ibn Ali al-Rudhayni al-Ijli. Al-Baladhuri says that al-Rashid appointed him at the end of his days over Sisar. Uthman al-Awdi tried to overcome him there but could not, and Murra defeated him over most of what was in his hands in Azerbaijan. 1

Al-Baladhuri adds that he kept paying the land tax of Sisar to the district in the days of Muhammad ibn al-Rashid until the strife broke out. 1

Note: the periods recorded for him in the data (the Rashidun, the Umayyads and the early Abbasids) need review.
