Al-Mas'udi
Al-Mas'udi says that money from him came to be distributed secretly among the Talibids, and al-Mu'tadid made them known and drew them near. When Muhammad ibn Harun killed him, al-Mu'tadid showed indignation and grief at his killing. 2
