He took it after Aqsunqur and Buzan, when Tutush arrested them in Aleppo. 1
His wars
Strife and wars took place between him and Sukman ibn Artuq. In one of them he captured Yaqut, son of Sukman, and imprisoned him in the fortress of Mardin with the singer, lord of the fortresses. He marched to besiege Amid, and Sukman fought him fiercely and then defeated him. 1
Death
He died in 495 AH, and after him Musa the Turkmen took Mosul. The Gregorian date is derived from the Hijri date. 1
