Ibn Hajar gives him his own entry in al-Isaba, no. 1926: "Hattab ibn al-Harith (may God be pleased with him) ibn Mu'ammar ibn Habib ibn Wahb ibn Hudhafa ibn Jumah, the Qurashi of Jumah"; he records that Musa ibn Uqba listed him among the emigrants to Abyssinia, as did Ibn Ishaq and al-Tabari in the appendix. 4
