Summary

The vizier Sharaf al-Din Abu Nasr Anushirwan b. Khalid b. Muhammad al-Qashani; vizier of the imam al-Mustarshid. Al-Hariri pointed to him in the prologue of the Maqamat with 'he pointed, by his pointing, with a worry — and obedience to him is a grief' as it is told; though al-Hariri's own hand in a copy he wrote states that he composed it for the vizier Jalal al-Din 'Amid al-Dawla Abu 'Ali al-Hasan b. Sadaqa, al-Mustarshid's vizier also. He came upon a book containing marvels which pleased him, and he pointed to joining another to it. 1
