Overview

Amr ibn al-Harith, a young man of Quraysh. 1

Al-Baladhuri relates that he bought the two chests of jewels from the spoils of Nahavand from al-Sa'ib ibn al-Aqra' with the stipends of the dependants and the fighters. He sold one of them at al-Hira for the price he had paid for both, and the other remained to him; this was the first luxury of wealth he took up. 1
