Life in time
Overview
Al-Rabi' ibn Sabih, a jurist, client of the Banu Sa'd, who related from al-Hasan al-Basri. 1
Garrisoning and raiding
Al-Baladhuri says that he collected money from the people of Basra and fortified Abadan with it, and garrisoned there. Then he went out as a raider to India by sea and died, and was buried on an island of al-Jara'ir in 160 AH. 1
The recorded Gregorian date (777 CE) is a conversion that needs documentation, and so does the rest of his life.
