Overview

Al-Mukhtar ibn Ka'b al-Jumahi, a poet whose name appears in al-Baladhuri's "Futuh al-Buldan" from the time of Qutayba ibn Muslim. Al-Baladhuri quotes a verse of his about Qutayba, meaning that he subdued Sughd with raids until he left it a bare plain. 1

The data hold nothing beyond this verse, and his birth, death and life need an additional source.
