Overview

Al-Ayzar ibn Hurayth, a Kufan narrator. The museum's data preserve nothing of him beyond his report in al-Baladhuri, which contains an alternative table of Umar's taxes on the land of al-Sawad. 1

The table he relates

The table sets on a jarib of wheat two dirhams and two jaribs, on a jarib of barley one dirham and one jarib, on a jarib of vines ten dirhams, likewise on a jarib of alfalfa, and on a jarib of cotton five dirhams. On a Persian palm it sets one dirham, and on a dagla palm one dirham. 1

His year of death and his life are not recorded, and need an additional source.
