Life in time
Overview
The hafiz Abu al-Rabi' al-Kallai, an Andalusian. He was killed in the battle of Anijja on Thursday, ten nights before the end of Dhu al-Hijja 634 AH. He was in front of the ranks calling to those who fled: "Do you flee from Paradise?" until he was killed, patient and seeking reward. 2
He used to say that the end of his life would be seventy years, because of a dream he saw in his childhood, and it was so. His pupil, the hafiz Ibn al-Abbar, composed an elegy for him. 2
