Overview

Abu al-Adiyya al-Amili, one of the two men who agreed to kill Ammar ibn Yasir at Siffin, together with Ibn Jawn al-Sakuni. They disagreed over his spoils, and referred the matter to Abd Allah ibn Amr ibn al-As. He turned away from them, and related that he had heard the Messenger of God say that Ammar was calling them to Paradise and they were calling him to the Fire. This is what al-Mas'udi relates. 2
