Overview

Abd Allah ibn Nashira al-Tamimi, whom al-Baladhuri mentions in the accounts of Sistan. He advised Abd al-Aziz ibn Abd Allah ibn Amir to take what was in the treasury of Sistan and withdraw, and he did so. Then he came back and entered Zaranj, but Wakī ibn Abi Sawd expelled him; he gathered a host and fought until his horse stumbled and he was killed. Abu Hizabba, or it is said Hanzala ibn Arada, mourned him with the line: "Alas, no youth is left after Ibn Nashira the youth." 1
