Overview

Abbad ibn Ziyad raided the frontier of India from Sistan. He reached Sinarud and Kush, crossed the desert, and conquered Qandahar after some Muslim men had been killed. He saw that its people's caps were tall and had them made on the same pattern, and so they were called «al-Abbadiyya». 1

The expedition to Tabuk

The Prophet led a large expedition north toward the Byzantine frontier as far as Tabuk; no battle took place.
