Summary
It reached Malik that Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) wanted to leave for Iraq, and Kab al-Ahbar said to him: do not go there, Commander of the Faithful, for it has nine-tenths of sorcery, rebellious jinn, and the incurable disease. The editor considers the report broken and not sound; and if it is sound, Kab transmitted it from the books of the Jews. 1
