Summary
Malik transmits from Nafi, from Abdullah ibn Umar, that the Prophet ﷺ addressed the people on one of his campaigns. Ibn Umar said: I went towards him, but he left before I reached him. I asked what he said, and I was told: he forbade steeping in the gourd and in the bitumen-lined jar. The editor notes that Ibn Umar and Malik held that the prohibition on steeping in the gourd and in the bitumen-lined jar is not abrogated. 1
