Summary
Malik transmits from Abd al-Majid ibn Suhayl, the editor notes the correct name being Abd al-Majid, from Said ibn al-Musayyab, from Abu Said al-Khudri (may God be pleased with him) and Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him), that the Messenger appointed a man over Khaybar, who brought him janib dates. He asked: are all the dates of Khaybar like this? The man said: no, by God, Messenger of God; we take one sa' of this for two, and two for three. The Messenger said: do not do that; sell the mixed dates for dirhams, then buy janib dates with dirhams. 1
