Summary
Malik says a slave man makes a free woman chaste if he marries her and has intercourse with her, but a free woman does not make a slave husband chaste unless he is freed while still her husband and has intercourse with her after his release. If he separates from her before his release, he is not chaste until he marries again after his release and has intercourse with his wife. 1
