Summary
A report that Yahya transmits from Malik from al-Miswar ibn Rifa'a al-Qurazi from al-Zubayr ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Zubayr, that Rifa'a ibn Simwal divorced his wife Tamima bint Wahb three times in the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ. She married Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Zubayr, who was impotent with her and could not consummate with her, so he separated from her. Rifa'a wished to marry her again while he was her former husband, and mentioned it to the Messenger of God, who forbade him to remarry her, and said: she is not lawful to you until you taste her honey. The editor notes that Ibn Abd al-Barr said it is a mursal in Yahya's transmission, and that most Muwatta transmitters agreed with him except Ibn Wahb. 1
