Summary
A report of Zayd ibn Arqam (may God be pleased with him) in the Book of the Virtues of the Companions: the Prophet ﷺ preached at the pond of Khumm on his return from the Farewell Pilgrimage, recommended the Book of God, and then said, "and my household, I remind you of God regarding my household". When Husayn ibn Sabra asked him who the household were, Zayd said they are those forbidden to receive charity after him: the family of Ali, the family of Aqil, the family of Ja'far and the family of Abbas. 1
