Summary
A report of Wathila ibn al-Asqa in the Book of Virtues of Sahih Muslim: the chain of the Prophetic choosing from Ismail to Kinana, then Quraysh, then Banu Hashim, then the Prophet ﷺ. It is the best-known text on the Prophet's lineage and the honour of his line among the people of the Sunna. 1
