Summary

In the Book of Campaigns: Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn Asim (may God be pleased with him) reports that after the distribution of the spoils of Hunayn at al-Ji'rana the Prophet ﷺ addressed the Ansar, who had received nothing from it. Some spoke, and he reminded them of what they had been, and told them of the favouritism they would meet after him. It is among the greatest sermons in the Sahih on the standing of the Ansar. 1
