Overview
A branch of Banu Tamim: al-Anbar ibn Amr ibn Tamim, as Ibn Hisham gives the lineage. 1 Uyayna ibn Hisn raided them on the Prophet's orders, killing and taking captives. Then a delegation of Banu Tamim rode after them, and the Prophet freed some of the captives and ransomed others. See the expedition. 2 1

Among their dead were Abd Allah and his two brothers, the sons of Wahb, Shaddad ibn Faras, and Hanzala ibn Darim. Among their captives were Asma bint Malik, Kas bint Ari, Najwa bint Nahd, Jumay'a bint Qays, and Umra bint Matar. Among them was Adi ibn Jandab, whom Salma bint Attab mourned in an elegy. 1
