Overview
In Muharram 659 AH a multitude of the Tatars who had survived the day of 'Ayn Jalut, and who had been in al-Jazira, gathered, and they raided Aleppo and then marched on Homs. 1
The battle
Ibn al-Imad says that Husam al-Din al-Jukandar, the lord of Hama al-Mansur and the lord of Homs al-Ashraf, were at Homs with fourteen hundred men, and the Tatars with six thousand. The Muslims charged with true resolve and won the victory. They destroyed most of the Tatars, and their commander Bindara fled. Ibn al-Imad says that only one man of the Muslims was killed. 1
