Overview

The first complete edition of Sibawayh's Kitab, edited by Dr Muhammad Kazim al-Bakka' (University of Kufa), volume one, section one (the chapters of grammar), part one: the book's introduction and the government of the verb. It opens with the editor's introduction (pp. 1–12) then presents the text arranged under classified chapters; the introduction rests on manuscripts of the Awqaf libraries of Baghdad, Mosul and San'a' and the Bulaq edition.
