Wadan

Wadan is a land whose palms are continuous toward the west and north, according to al-Idrisi. It was populated, then its people fled into the desert after the coming of Islam, and only the remnants of a people remained in it. The ancient city of Dawud is in ruins. Most of its people dig up the roots of plants for food, and they have camels on which they depend. ²
