Overview

Surraq is a city in the districts of al-Ahwaz. Al-Baladhuri mentions that Abu Musa conquered it on terms like the peace of Ramhurmuz. Then its people betrayed, and Haritha ibn Badr did not conquer it. Abd Allah ibn Amir then conquered it by force, and afterwards appointed Haritha over it. 1
