Liyya

ليّة

Wadi Liyya, pronounced with a kasra on the lam and a light yaa, as its people say. Al-Hamdani lists it among the wadis that reach the sea from the land of Hukm. The editor's note says that Liyya with a doubled yaa is a wadi east of al-Taif (pp. 143–144 of the edition).

Overview

The valley of Lyya, which its people pronounce with a short l and a light y, as al-Hamdani mentions. In his account it is among the valleys that flow into the sea from the land of Hakam. 1

The editor's note

The editor's note says that "Layya" with a doubled y is a valley east of al-Ta'if. The data indicates that the name may refer to two different valleys that have not yet been separated. 1

For that reason no coordinates have been recorded. An additional source is needed.
