Overview

Fayd, with an open fa, is a known place on the southeast slope of the south of Salma. Palm gardens stretch there for two or three miles, grain is grown in it, and it counts as part of Najd. Its name appears in events and in Arab poetry, according to the editor's note in the Akwa al-Hawali edition. 1

The text calls it "Fayd" and not "the Fortress of Fayd"; an additional source is needed to establish its relation to the fortress.
