Overview

al-Tabasayn: two fortresses, one of which is called Tabas and the other Qarin. They are a mass of land with palm trees in it, and they are the gate of Khurasan. Abd Allah ibn Badil ibn Warqa al-Khuza'i reached them on a raid sent from Abu Musa and took booty. 1

The peace

People of the two fortresses came to Umar and made peace with him for sixty thousand, or, it is said, seventy-five thousand, and he wrote them a letter. Abd Allah ibn Amir confirmed their peace when he raided Khurasan. 1
