    Summary

Salim Kassam is a British media figure, co-founder and former chief editor of The Muslim Vibe, the grassroots digital media platform for Muslims in the West. 1 2 He hosted the platform's podcast for years and later organised charity sport for the Zahra Trust. 3 This entry records him as the documented lead of the platform's channel.

    The Muslim Vibe

The Muslim Vibe began in 2014 as a grassroots platform aiming, in its own words, to inspire, inform and empower Muslims through Islamic content for a younger Western audience. Its own team pages name Salim Kassam as 'Co-Founder and Chief Editor' — with Haseeb Rizvi as co-founder and creative director — and describe its podcast as hosted by him; his byline block across the site reads 'Chief Editor of The Muslim Vibe'. 1 In November 2021 the podcast relaunched under Rizvi as host with an episode interviewing Kassam as the platform's 'former Chief Editor and Co-Founder'. 2 An independent sports outlet, profiling the Zahra Trust's 2024 Miami Marathon team that Kassam conceived, likewise describes him as the man who 'previously co-founded The Muslim Vibe digital media organization'. 3

    Positions and faith

This section should be read as a presentation of what the sources give, not as a verdict of the museum.

None of the sources consulted names a school, branch or movement affiliation for Kassam personally: his own platform's pages name his offices and publish his general writing on faith, and the independent profile records his media and charity work. 1 3 The Muslim Vibe publishes voices from across Muslim traditions, and an outlet's flavour does not attest its editor. No faith value is therefore recorded for him.
