Summary
Work
Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Mohammed bin Aqeel Al Nabit took over as Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces in October 2021, the announcement made by Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani 1. On 1 March 2024, in Paris, he received the French National Order of the Legion of Honour with the rank of Commander from the French Army's chief of staff, General Thierry Burkhard, in appreciation of his role in strengthening military relations between Qatar and France; the two chiefs then discussed military cooperation 2. No birth date for him is publicly attested, and he has neither a Wikipedia article nor a Wikidata item, so this is a minimal record resting on official Qatari reporting 2 1. No text read for this record names a faith for Al Nabit himself, so his faith is recorded as unknown 2 1.
