Education and career
Moslehi received her B.Sc. with honours, M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia; her 2000 doctorate was supervised by J. M. Friedman and Steven Narod. She was then a postdoctoral fellow at the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics of the National Institutes of Health, under Mitchell Gail, holding meanwhile an adjunct assistant professorship at George Washington University, before taking her post at the University at Albany, where she teaches courses in molecular and genetic epidemiology that she developed. 1 2
Research
Her research is on cancer and cancer precursors: the genetic and environmental causes of ovarian cancer, ethnic differences in breast-cancer incidence, and radiation-induced cancers of the eye. She also conducts molecular-epidemiologic and genomic studies of other conditions, including myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and gestational complications, contributing through this work to the understanding of hereditary disease causes and gene–environment interactions. 1 3
Religion
Her faith is recorded as unknown. No source names any affiliation for her, and there is no attestation to weigh: the English, Persian and Arabic article texts contain no statement of her religion at all, the English categories file her by profession and origin only, and Wikidata carries no religion value. The Persian article's mention of Jewish women among the populations of her ovarian-cancer studies concerns her research subjects, not her own belief. This is the absence configuration, so no value is recorded. 1 2 3 4
