Career
Bensebaini grew up at CS Constantine before the Paradou academy took him in at eleven; he spent nine years there, with loans at Lierse in Belgium and Montpellier in France, before a permanent move to Rennes in 2016, where he won the Coupe de France in 2019. That summer he crossed to Borussia Mönchengladbach — scoring twice in a famous win over Bayern Munich that December — and in 2023 he moved on to Borussia Dortmund. 1
He debuted for Algeria in January 2017 and was part of the squad that won the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt; by the time of his naming in Algeria's 2026 World Cup squad he had accumulated around ninety caps and ten goals. 1
