    Overview

Mohamed Shaheen El-Taeb (full name: Mohamed Shaheen Abdelrahman) is an Egyptian researcher in religions, doctrines and contemporary intellectual schools, and the presenter of the eld3wah ("Islamic Dawah") channel on YouTube, which its description identifies as his personal channel. 1

He is a pharmacist who graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Zagazig University in 2003, as he presents himself in an interview conducted with him by the Baheth platform, which publishes his materials. 2

His channel had about 527,000 subscribers as of October 2026, a platform figure that changes constantly. 1

    Early life and education

In his Baheth interview he says that he was drawn early to questions of atheism and establishing the validity of Islam, and that he joined the Dialogue-Makers Academy, graduating with distinction in the first cohort of its specialised religions programme, where his teachers included Monqith al-Saqqar. 2

No trusted source gives his birth date, so the museum records none; what is documented of his education is his 2003 pharmacy degree and his academy training in dialogue and religions, as he recounts it himself. 2

    Career and work

He launched his eld3wah channel in the early 2010s — its oldest published videos date to about 2012 — and built its content on specialised series in comparative religion. 1

His prominent series include one on the evidences and proofs of prophethood, replies to objections raised against Islam by atheists, missionaries and Orientalists as his titles classify them, studies of the Greek manuscripts of the New Testament, the "Hakawi al-Kutub" (book tales) series presenting and discussing books, and recorded interviews with authors and researchers in his field. 1

He authored "Manhajiyyat Ithbat Sihhat Din al-Islam" (The Methodology of Establishing the Validity of the Religion of Islam), published by Markaz Tabsir and presented at the Cairo International Book Fair in 2024, the distillation of his project on the method of establishing Islam's validity as he presents it. 2

The Baheth platform publishes his materials, lectures and their transcripts; he also maintains a Patreon page supporting his content production, and his YouTube channel has been his main platform for over a decade. 2 1

    Positions and criticism

This section should be read as a presentation of different positions reported by the sources, not as a verdict of the museum on them.

His work is polemical by design: a declared engagement with atheism, missionary activity and Orientalism. He presents himself as a researcher in religions rather than a general preacher, and states in his interview that he used to avoid describing himself as a researcher or specialist before his academy training in the field. 2

Neither of the two relied-upon sources names a legal school for him; his general frame in dawah is a Sunni frame in the field of comparative religion, which is a description of his field of work, not an attestation of a school, so no school is recorded. 1 2
