Jinan Yousef

Jinan Yousef is a writer and teacher whose work centres on the names of Allah. She is a Senior Fellow at the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research, where her page lists seventeen articles, papers and programme episodes, and she teaches and writes on connecting to Allah through knowing Him by His names. ^{1 2}

She is a graduate of law from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and UC Berkeley, with a special emphasis on international law, and holds a PhD. She studied at Cambridge Islamic College and currently studies tafsir and hadith at Al-Salam Institute. ^{3 2}

She has been an author for over a decade. Her books are Reflecting on the Names of Allah (Al-Buruj Press, 2020) and the 99 Names of Allah guided journal (Towards Faith, 3rd edition 2023), a memorisation and reflection journal built around the names. She is a course instructor for Al Buruj Press, teaches classes on the names of Allah for SWISS online, and is a lecturer and writer for Tawasaw Institute. She has also led women's retreats, including a July 2025 sisters' Umrah retreat and a weekend intensive on the names of Allah in Jeddah. ^{2 3 1}
