sunni-hanafi (documented)
Roles are dated and sourced; the museum describes the act and attributes the judgement.
Overview
Sadr al-Din Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Abi al-Izz al-Hanafi, chief judge and commentator on the Tahawi Creed. The edition describes him as one of the chief judges. 1
The commentary
He is the author of Commentary on the Tahawi Creed. 1
School and dates
His affiliation to the Hanafi school is established by the title page, and in his commentary he refers to the followers of Abu Hanifa as "our companions". The title page of the Dar al-Hadith edition gives the years 731 and 792 AH. These two dates come from one source, so they need an additional source. 1
