Hani Sidow

Hani Sidow is a British-Somali beauty blogger and author, known on Instagram as @hanihanns, where Stylist magazine counted 102,000 followers at the release of her first book. She was 22 at the time of that interview. ¹

She joined social media because creating an Instagram account was part of her university degree in advertising and public relations, and her makeup posts began to draw attention. ¹ "There weren't many people who looked like me", she told Stylist, describing why she began speaking about representation and styling modest fashion for hijab-wearing women; Somali women, she said, are her main audience. ¹ Her first book, Insta-glam, was published by Octopus, and Hachette UK lists her among its contributors. ^{1 2}
