Overview

Faysal ibn Turki ibn Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn Saud, one of the princes of Najd, who died in 1865 CE. Al-Zirikli reports that he rebelled against Mishari ibn Abd al-Rahman in 1249 AH, killed him, and took up the emirate, making Riyadh the seat of his rule. 1

Captivity and return

His cousin Khalid ibn Saud rose against him with an Egyptian army, and seized him at the fortress of al-Kharj after many wars. He was sent to Egypt in 1250 AH and remained a prisoner until 1259 AH. He then escaped and returned to Najd, where he was obeyed until he died in Riyadh. 1
