Summary
Fatih Yağcı is a Turkish religious-media figure, the public face of the Sözler Köşkü Science and Culture Association and the man under whose leadership the association grew. Its Turkish YouTube channel began in 2011, and its English channel, Towards Eternity, publishes dawah videos and convert stories in more than ten languages. 1 2
Career and work
By the association's own account, a few young men started the Sözler Köşkü channel in 2011 asking how they could come closer to the youth; after five years in Turkish they decided to publish in English as well, and the English channel Towards Eternity reached about 1.6 million subscribers in six years, while the Turkish channel passed 3.6 million. 1 An independent Turkish news report traces the association's roots to the Nur Mektebi circle and states that Sözler Köşkü grew under Fatih Yağcı's leadership, before Mehmet Yıldız left to found the sister channel Hayalhanem. 3
The association's own channels present Yağcı as its public contact: the Turkish channel's video descriptions direct viewers to him by name and carry his personal account, podcast listings for the English channel credit its owner simply as "Fatih", and the association's mobile app is listed under his name as developer. 4 2 The association now describes itself as a multilingual media platform producing hundreds of videos a month from its Istanbul base, through its media studio and youth centre. 2
Positions and faith
This section should be read as a presentation of what the sources give, not as a verdict of the museum.
No source consulted names a legal school for Fatih Yağcı personally. The sources place his association in the Risale-i Nur reading milieu — the young men who founded it were raised at Nur Mektebi — but an association's intellectual milieu is not a school attestation for the man, so no faith value is recorded for him. 3 4
