Summary
Farid al-Bahraini is a Bahraini Muslim researcher and debater who runs the Farid Responds YouTube channel, which answers objections raised against Islam and against the hadith literature. 1 A podcast profile identifies the channel's presenter by his personal name: "Ustadh Farid al-Bahraini (Farid Responds)". 2
Work
Farid co-founded the websites TwelverShia.net and Sunni Discourse and created Nahjul-Balagha.net, sites devoted to answering Twelver Shia claims from Sunni sources. His published books include The Martyrdom of al-Husayn in Light of the Authentic Traditions, a short account of Karbala restricted to narrations he presents as authentic by the hadith scholars' conditions, with chains and references for every narration. 3 His channel's debates and response videos address Christian, atheist and Shia interlocutors, and he has taken part in Muslim conference and podcast discussions of the online dawah scene. 2
Positions and faith
This section should be read as a presentation of what the sources give, not as a verdict of the museum.
No source consulted names a legal school for Farid al-Bahraini personally. His refutation work argues the Sunni side against Twelver Shia claims, and Shia respondents label him a Salafi apologist; polemical alignment and opponents' labels are not two independent attestations of a school, so no faith value is recorded for him. 2 3
