Overview

Buqrat, the physician of the Greeks. Al-Mas'udi relates his saying about love: it is the mingling of two souls, as when water mixes with water like it, and it is difficult to separate it. The soul is finer than water and more subtle in its passage, so the nights do not remove it and the ages do not wear it out. Its movement begins from the heart and then passes to all the limbs. 2
