Overview

Bihafaridh, a Magian man from the village of Rawa in Abarshahr, who appeared at the beginning of the Abbasid state before Abu al-Abbas. Ibn al-Nadim says that he prayed the five prayers without prostration, and he called the Magians to his doctrine, and a great many responded to him. 2

Abu Muslim sent to him Shabib ibn Dah and Abd Allah ibn Sa'id, who offered him Islam, and he embraced it. His Islam was not accepted because of his soothsaying, and he was killed. A group remained on his doctrine in Khurasan until the time of Ibn al-Nadim. 2
