Overview

The scribe of the prophet Jeremiah. Al-Mas'udi says that he found in the book, which gives a lineage for Ma'add ibn Adnan to Qaydar ibn Isma'il ibn Ibrahim in about thirty fathers, something that differs from the Arabic copies. 2

He says that he included it so that people would know of their dispute over this, and he referred the accounts of Jeremiah with Ma'add ibn Adnan in Syria to his earlier books. 2
