Overview

Bahram Gur, a king of the Sasanian Persians. Al-Tabari gives him the heading "The reign of Bahram Gur". 1

Al-Baladhuri says that he was Bahram Gur ibn Yazdgerd ibn Bahram ibn Sabur Dhu al-Aktaf. He was in the care of al-Nu'man, king of al-Hira, when he left his kingdom and went wandering, and al-Nu'man built him al-Khawarnaq, and Adi ibn Zayd al-Ibadi mentioned him in his verse. 2

The details of the years of his rule in al-Tabari have not been read yet and need an additional source.
