Overview
Ayyub ibn Habib al-Lakhmi, the nephew of Musa ibn Nusayr through his sister. The people of al-Andalus gathered to him after Abd al-Aziz ibn Musa was killed in 97 AH, after a period of disorder. 1
Al-Salabi describes him as a righteous and virtuous man, and says his governorship was not long. He relates that the people of al-Andalus set him up to manage affairs until a governor was appointed by the caliphate. 1
